Like many agents, I began with something else. While working on getting my writings published, I took over a family ranching operation in South Texas. I spent the first 10 years out of college working to regain the native grasses of an overgrazed land, not only to resist the destruction of native habitat by invasive species, but to also increase productivity of the land itself (since when do humans know what works better than Nature?). I've written a weekly op-ed column for a small town newspaper (my blog, on a wide array of subjects from clothing to politics to social mores, appears at (http://clayeewing.statesmanblogs.com/), plumped my income with my camera work, managed a bunch of doctors offices, before settling into our preferred area, Wimberley, to take up Real Estate and Residential Property Management. There are a lot of real estate agents in Central Texas, and most will serve you well. But, in your search for the right home, or to sell your current home, choosing the right agent to help you through the process is vitally important. It's not who makes the biggest claims, but the individual whose manner lends you a sense of confidence that your interests are represented properly. As a buyer's agent, my aim is to find not the properties I want to sell you--which is how many real estate agents work--but the one that fits your needs and your budget. As a consulting agent with Century 21 Hill Country Properties, not only do I have the weight of the largest real estate company behind me in marketing your house, so do you. We have one of the largest, most visited Internet sites in the world with Century21.com, which means your property is exposed nationally rather than just locally. June 1st, 2006, I took over the Property Management of Century 21 Hill Country Properties. With residential properties from south of Wimberley and north to Round Rock, I oversee the care of dozens of tenants, the homes they lease, and the owners of those homes whose interests I represent. My experience consists of property management for 16 years prior to coming to Wimberley, which means you're represented by someone who not only respects your needs, but knows how to represent your needs. If you are the owner of property you need managed, contact me for an evaluation and a proposal to show you what we do, and how we do it. As the largest real estate company in Wimberley, we also have a few things up our sleeves the other companies in town do not--just ask about this, and I'll be happy to fill you in on our marketing prowess. Whatever you decide to do, start with the group that has the highest name recognition in the world in real estate, and think about me while you're at it. Clay E.
